Our Sparkling Fridays and Fortified Saturdays will return to the Tasting Room in May 2017.

We invite you to join us on Fridays for your chance to taste Ella, our sparkling wine. This traditional-method wine is made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Hand riddled, hand degorged, hand labeled, this wine truly is a labour of love for winemaker Bertus Albertyn. We will be selling the Ella every day, but will only be tasting it on #Sparkling Fridays!
Fortified Saturdays are back at the Tasting Room. The wine has been changed a little with a new name “Fia” and a new co-fermented blend of Syrah and Merlot. This a still a truly traditional “port” style wine, smooth elegant and robust. It has been barrel aged for 20 months and is drinking wonderfully now but will cellar beautifully.
It is available for sale at the Tasting Room every day, but only available for tasting on #Fortified Saturdays.

Ella Workers Harvest Brunch 2017
When: Saturday August 26th and Sunday August 27th 10am-12pm
Cost: $35.00 per person, includes all taxes and gratuities.
This will be an unique experience where, under the watchful eye of Bertus, you get to harvest a tray of our Pinot Noir grapes that make up our Ella Sparkling wine.
After the Pinot is picked we invite you into the Tasting Room where you will help yourselves to a buffet style brunch set up on the tasting bar and join the table outside on the patio with a glass of Ella. The brunches will be limited to 20 people each day and we are now accepting reservations.
Being that this is our first ever Workers Harvest Brunch we are expecting the event to sell out quickly.

Maverick Winemaker’s Dinners 2017
Cost: $140.00 per person, includes taxes, gratuities.
Transportation is being provided by Wine Tours Gone South at a cost of $25.00 per person.

Dinner will begin at Maverick Estate Winery with a reception and a tour of the winery conducted by Bertus Albertyn, our owner and winemaker. Travel to nearby Backyard Farm for a gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Chris Van Hooydonk paired with a selection of wines from Maverick Estate Winery.
Limit of 20 guests for each of the dinners.
Reservations are being accepted now. Wine Club receives priority for reservations.
